The food was pretty good, but the service and drinks were very lack luster

I can recommend the shrimp tacos with spicy slaw, fried pickles and sweet potato fries, NOT the quesadilla! This came out incorrect at first and then 15 minutes later. I've been here several times when it was much busier and was always really good. However, the wait staff seemed new as nc just reopened from lock down. I won't let the help stop me from going back though... this time 😐

Terribly run restaurant. Waitress tried her best but kitchen and management are horrible. Took forever to get our food and when it did come half of our party did not get their food. Food was not even good. Manager seemed to care less. Do not go here, one of the worst beach restaurant experiences ever.

We sat at the bar since it was empty but the bartender took 30 minutes to take our food order. The hush puppy appetizer came out and tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. It wasn’t hot at all. It took another hour before the bartender informed us that tickets got pushed in front of our’s (there was only 2 of us). Not sure why other’s were pushed ahead of us so that was upsetting to hear. It took another 15 minutes to get our food so we boxed it and asked for the check. We got there before 7:30pm and didn’t think we would be eating at 9pm. I could understand if it was a Friday or Saturday but not on a weeknight.

Strawberry salad is spectacular ! It is always on point . My friend and I ordered club sandwiches with two different sides . The potato salad is slightly sweet with a touch of celery . The mac n cheese was so good and was the first thing eaten . You can tell it is homemade and it was sprinkled with extra cheese ! We often go during lunch , and you can always find a seat to eat . Even though it has a bar area , its totally cool to bring your kids in for a quick bite to eat. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxed and its one of our go to places :)

We tried calling for takeout and nobody picked up, so we decided to go instead. Upon arrival staff wasn't wearing any masks and social distancing wasn't obvious. We ended up ordering takeout onsite. Food was mediocre.

Always great food and service! Fresh fruit, really good omelets, good coffee, prices, portions, and restaurant is always clean. Recommended.

This was my first time going here and I must say that the food was excellent. The staff was very friendly. The portion sizes with the food were very large and the prices were very reasonable. I would definitely go back and I highly recommend this restaurant.

Decent place if you want to party with the younger crowd in the summer. I am in my mid-thirties and generally feel old there with the after 9pm crowd. Decent bands but mainly cover songs. Bar service could be a little faster on busy nights but still not as bad as other venues in the area during high volume rushes. I'll have to visit on the off-season and see what crowd that brings.

Decent food but not great. Waitress was pleasant but not wearing a mask.

We ate here for Lunch Friday. Food is always good. everything on the menu. We never come to the OIB and don't eat here. Tessa is a great Server/Bartender and they keep Buffalo Trace!!!

Awesome chili cook-off fundraiser!

This place is tucked in on Ocean Isle Beach and is a gem! The staff is super friendly and took great care of us! The food was every bit as good as we hoped and the atmosphere is enjoyable. We shared crab and shrimp nachos and we're really pleasantly surprised and how much crab was on it! My friend shrimp were great, the homemade Mac and cheese was exactly what you would look for in homemade. I highly recommend you eat here if you are in the area.

I visited the perch last weekend. I was really impressed with the food I ate, I had shrimp and crab quesadilla, boneless buffalo wings and had a few speciality drinks. I highly recommend this place!! Will be back very soon!!

Great wait staff. I have the strawberry salad. It was lucious. Lots of strawberries and nuts. A great mix of salad greens. There was 6 of us an we all got different things. Everyone went out stuffed and pleased. We are planning a return visit.

Visited a few years ago and it was great. Tonight was horrible. If I could give it zero stars I would. Fries were awful, burger burnt. Our waitress forgot my bar beverage for 20 mins

I know, we're in the middle of Covid-19 hell when we placed our take out order. I have never seen such a pitiful plate of grouper in my life. The food was good but the portions were below acceptable. The staff was very nice and I'm thinking it would be better under normal circumstances.

Great food at a great price. I ordered the crab cakes and my husband had tuna. Each entree was perfectly prepared

I got the buffalo and sweet chili wings, six of each. They are not crispy and we're cooked just enough for me not to gripe about them. (Sometimes the non-crispy are undercooked). It came with celery and carrots and blue cheese dressing. Wife got the strawberry salad and liked it. I got a draft IPA. Bartender was nice enough. Not real crowded. No where in this town is real crowded. Prices were reasonable. I would go back.

Everything we ordered was awful. We went at the dinner hour and it tasted like it had been sitting around for hours.

Pleased to see the restaurant adhering to social distancing. The food was phenomenal. If we had found it earlier in the week, we would have gone more than once. Definately will return on our next visit.

Appetizers were the best thing on my table. Ordered the grilled fish and paid $20 for a piece of dry fish. We ordered a burger and also some nachos and the nachos came out cold, so was the chicken that was on them and it looks like they microwaved the cheese onto them. Burger was ordered medium and came out like a brick. Unfortunately was not a part of the Clean Plate club. Definitely recommend only eating appetizers there because they make up for the lack of flavor. wings and bang shrimp were good.

Excellent food at a reasonable price, friendly waitstaff, and they were kind enough to provide fresh cold water for my dog. I definitely recommend them

Good selection of draft & bottle beer. The place seemed clean which isn't always the case for beach bars. We didn't eat this time but I remember the food being good.

This place is extremely overated and definitely not worth the prices. Food was bland and overcooked. Service left a lot to be desired also eventhough they were polite.

The place has beer, cocktails, decent food and is very convenient. Wait service is much better than the bartenders. Every time I sit at the bar, I feel like the bartenders are doing me a big favor. This is whether ordering food or just drinks. Terrible attitudes and very inattentive. The beard guy is the worst. Did I mention it was very convenient? Good thing! I don’t like posting negative things, but felt the need after visiting with an OIB newcomer this weekend who asked me “ what’s up with the bartenders?”

Sernice was terribke and discrimainating. Asked to leave after spending plenty of money there. Actuall didnt even pull in and was told to leave for no reason. Being investigated now and lawyer contacting

Great atmosphere. The wait staff was great...the food not so much. Each of my 2 daughters ordered popcorn shrimp and fries, both of which were really overcooked. My wife's shrimp and crab nachos were good. My crab and shrimp quesadilla was very bad. The shrimp and crab were gray and mushy...and tasted old. I had stomach issues later that night.
